We are looking for driven and motivated Licensed Real Agents to join our team!    

Duties of a Leasing Agent, and necessary skills are noted below. HomeRiver will provide properties available for leasing as well as the marketing platform and materials needed.   Leasing experience a plus but not required. Flexible work schedule - Set your own hours. Many agents work evenings and weekends.

Leasing agent outline:

  • Respond to rental inquiries from prospective tenants by email and phone.
  • Schedule individual and group showings of rental properties..
  • Conduct move in inspections with new tenants.
  • Customer service related to the property owner and tenants needs prior to and leading up to tenancy.
  • Comply with federal & state Fair Housing laws, statutes and regulations, as well as local laws and ordinances.

You can SELL:  We offer a competitive commission split program for experienced sales agents and provide marketing materials.

New Business Commission:  Agents are encouraged to prospect and network for new property management clients and will earn commission for new account.   

Candidate should possess:

  • Current California Real Estate License.
  • Good Communicator.
  • Efficient multi-tasker.
  • Generally proficient with Computers and Technology.
  • Must have a dependable vehicle with current insurance that will allow company added as additional insured.
  • Quick learner, adapts well to and embraces change.
  • Open, honest, trustworthy, and dependable.
  • Customer Service is our #1 priority. Being outgoing, social, help-oriented is a must.
  • Current member of the local Association of Realtors organization.

Compensation: 1099 Independent Contractor  - 100% Commission Based - The pay range varies, on average a full time dedicated leasing/Sales agent can earn $50,000 to $100,000 annually in the first year.    Very consistent income, unlike real estate sales.. You get paid every time you get a lease signed and move in money is collected from tenant.  Commission is earned based on leased property AND additional incentives are available based on number of leased properties in a calendar month. Sales commissions are paid after close of escrow.  New business commission are paid after 2 months management is earned.

Days/Hours: As an independent contractor, you control your time off and hours. However, the successful agent is available Monday to Sunday.

Benefits: Sorry, No Health Benefits. As an Independent contractor, you are responsible for your own taxes, auto insurance, health care, vision/dental insurances.
