The objective of this position is to show pride of ownership in the property and provide reassurance to tenants that there is owner representation on site. The Resident Manager provides a positive impact in the community so that the building has a good reputation and reflects a positive image of "the company" "the owner" and "the property" to the public. The applicant should be comfortable managing on-site, be comfortable on the phone, have a strong work ethic, focused, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced, team oriented environment.

This is a part-time position requiring willingness to live onsite.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide a high level of customer service with residents
  • Execute collection activity using management software
  • Lease available units using leasing skills with full compliance of fair housing laws
  • Perform move in, move out inspections of vacant units and monitor turn over work being performed
  • Weekly reports which consist of vacancies, collections, leases, notices, and work orders etc
  • Maintain organized notes regarding all communications, work orders, etc.
  • Manage maintenance request and follow up with vendors
  • Perform periodic inspections of units
  • General cleaning & maintenance of the building and grounds to maintain exceptional curb appeal
  • Respond to all residents request or complaints in a timely, efficient, and courteous manner
  • Serve as employer's representative to enforce ALL rules governing the premises under the lease and report any violations or problems to immediate supervisor

Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge of property management including but not limited to posting notices and enforcing regulations within California and Local laws
  • General knowledge of computer software and internet
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Education, Certifications, and Experience

  • Minimum of 1-year Property Management experience

Interpersonal and Communication Skills

  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and drive to provide superior customer service to all parties
  • Team player with strong work ethic, pro-active orientation, who can anticipate needs,, and highly accountable, with a mature and positive attitude
